WORKSHOP INFORMATION: Introduction to AI Workplace Skills for Office Applications

I. WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This workshop will introduce participants to AI tools and features supporting Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and email communications. The goal is to enhance workplace skills, with a strong emphasis on group communication, creativity, and report generation. The program will cover AI-assisted features for data analysis, document creation, communication, collaboration, and research. Participants will engage in practical exercises to apply these skills in real-world scenarios.

II. WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

• • Understand and utilize AI features for Excel data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Use AI tools with Word documents to improve document creation, editing, and report

  Day 2: AI Tools in Microsoft Word Duration: 4 hours

  • ♦ AI-Assisted Writing and Editing (2 hours) – Resumes, Documents, LinkedIn Profile
    • Overview of AI features for generating content for documents or online profiles.
    • Using AI for grammar,translation,and style suggestions.
    • Hands-on exercise: Enhancing a document with AI-assisted editing.
  • ♦ Creativity and Report Generation in Word (2 hours)
    •Using AI for lay out and design suggestions.
    • Incorporating AI-generated content and smart lookup.
    • Hands-on exercise: Creating a professional report using AI tools.Day 3: AI in Email Communication and Research Assistance Duration: 4 hours

    • Using AI for information categorization, prioritization,and responses.
    • Hands-on exercise:Managing emails efficiently with AI tools.

    • Using AI for writing effective emails.
    • Language translation and smart replies.
    • Hands-on exercise:Writing and optimizing emails using AI tools.Day 4: Enhancing Group Communication, Creativity, and Teamwork with AI Duration: 4 hours

    • Overview of AI tools for collaboration planning.
    • Using AI to facilitate team communication and collaboration.
    • Hands-on exercise: Collaborating on a project using AI tools.
